More details from petition creator

1. The loss of The Legion Club in Victoria Avenue that doubled as a centre for the Royal British Legion has left the whole of this side of Camberley without a community building of any kind. 2. At the time the Royal British Legion decided to close The Legion Club in order to market the site in Victoria Avenue with 9 other clubs, both Surrey County Council and Surrey Heath Council were extremely dilatory in failing to take steps to secure the building for continuing community use. Indeed Surrey Heath rapidly gave planning permission for housing to be built on the site thus ending any hope of the land being used for community purposes.
